The Call (excerpt from Jubilee Reflection by Julie Casey, IHM)
There is something about a call That changes us, Transforms us, Won't let us go.
This call, this enticing frightening inspiration To leave home in order to find home, To forego love to find love, To separate to find community.
And, oh wondrous call, This call is like Jesus' blessing on a hillside. It can lead to overflowing goodness, Nourishment beyond expectations, Life beyond all our limited desires, longings, Dreams, aspirations and inspirations.
To live in the life of The loving, merciful, powerful God, The redeeming Christ, The gracious Spirit; To journey with your sisters, To learn from those you serve, To walk in Mary's company.
The call is worth the risk. The promise is true. The nourishment more than we can ever need.
There is something about a call. It changes us. It transforms us. It will not let go of us.
