Who should attend? Commercial construction practitioners, contractors, subcontractors, managers, superintendents, foremen and project managers

The Benefits

Green Advantage Training Program offers real world, practical information with broader, big picture concepts to prepare participants to accomplish four important goals:

  1. Understand and enforce the core concepts and construction principles behind sustainable buildings leading to holistic view from the different trades of their work. This will foster leadership in the industry as younger tradespersons move into management positions.
  2. Integrate green practices and strategies into construction processes which will lighten the impact on the environment, save energy and improve the health conditions of construction workers and building occupants.
  3. Become knowledgeable enough about the LEED rating system as it applies to construction to be an active partner with design professionals to achieve a LEED-rated building.
  4. Become thoroughly prepared for the Green Advantage Certified Exam through an hour-long test.

IHM is pleased to offer this training for a second time in collaboration with M-TEC at Henry Ford Community College. Last year's evaluation survey results revealed a 96% satisfaction rate with the workshop with all responders indicating they would recommend this training to their colleagues.

We are grateful for a grant from the Energy Office of Michigan that helps make this event possible.
