River House is also available to individuals or groups who may wish to use its spacious grounds and rooms to nurture their own attentiveness to life from a spiritual perspective. Day Guests Individuals are welcome to make use of the second floor reflection rooms, which allow quiet, attractive ambiance for reflective reading, meditation and/or self-expression thru journaling and artwork. Groups who wish to use the first floor and basement meeting rooms, as well as the dining room/kitchen facilities, are encouraged to contact the office as listed above, and discuss their desires and needs. The attractive first floor living room - with views of the River Raisin - offers meeting space for up to 20, with a number of adjoining spaces available for break-out sessions or smaller gatherings. Cost is $50 for full day; $25 for a half-day. Coffee and tea are provided. Groups arrange for their own food needs. This is one of the main meeting rooms, Overnight Guests
Additional Accommodations All of the campus spiritual resources, including spiritual direction, the Motherhouse library, the Visitation Chapel, the Labyrinth and the spacious campus grounds, are available to River House guests. Professional facilitation of group experiences can be arranged through advanced discussion and planning. Please make these desires known when arranging for your stay. Facilitation fees range from $150 - $300 depending on the scope of the request. |


River House is the coordinating hub for all of the spirituality programs and resources of the IHM campus. Staff members are available in the office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Feel free to stop by, or to contact them at 734-240-5494 or by e-mail 



River House offers four private bedrooms, three with a single bed and one with two twin beds. Three of the bedrooms have private baths, while the fourth uses a bathroom directly across the hall. All of the bedrooms are available for overnight guests at the rate of $45 per night for the first two nights and $25 for each additional night. Adjoining the bedrooms are common areas for reading, reflection, prayer and/or artistic self-expression, making the second floor of River House a desirable ambiance for both private and directed retreats.
The three second-floor common rooms provide couches which can be opened into beds, making it possible to sleep up to 8 people. Groups desiring such an experience are encouraged to contact the River House office during normal business hours to discuss their desires and needs.
