IHM Sisters Offer "Praying the Parables" Retreat Jan. 9, 2008 Mary Ann Flanagan, IHM, and Monica Stuhlreyer, IHM, will facilitate a retreat at the IHM Motherhouse Feb. 18-20. The retreat will focus on the parables of Jesus. "Jesus' parables give witness to the reign of God in our midst," says Judith Bonini, IHM, pastoral care director at the Motherhouse. "They offer a challenge to meet and respond to God's presence." Mary Ann Flanagan, IHM, Ph.D., is a freelance theological educator. She has been the director of lay ministry formation program and has been associated with the Rev. Thomas Keating and Contemplative Outreach for the last 20 years. She is a trained presenter and facilitator of centering prayer. Monica Stuhlreyer, IHM, has ministered as a religious educator, spiritual director, pastoral associate and formation director of both religious and laity, facilitating retreats and spiritual programs. She is currently on the staff of Visitation Spirituality Centers and is the coordinator of the IHM Associate Program. The retreat begins at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, and ends on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Participants may choose to attend any or all of the days at a cost of $25 per day with lunch or $20 per day without lunch. Accommodations are not available at the Motherhouse.
