IHM Sisters hold women's spirituality and culture series

On Thursday, Feb. 9, Rabbi Arianna Gordon provides the Jewish perspective in the IHM Sisters' series, "Culture-Inspired Spiritualities American Mosaic: Women s Experience."

Rabbi Gordon will discuss the rituals and traditions that define Judaism, as well as how Jews have adapted these rituals in contemporary times.

Rabbi Gordon is the director of education at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Mich. She earned a master's degree in Jewish education from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Following her ordination, she spent three years as religious school director at Temple-Tifereth Israel in Cleveland before returning to the Detroit area where she was born and raised.

The program runs from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Community Room of the IHM Motherhouse. A free-will offering is requested.
