A commemorative plaque hangs at the Monroe County Courthouse. 2008 Keep Michigan Beautiful AwardKeep Michigan Beautiful recently awarded its President's Plaque for the Renovation of the IHM Motherhouse. KMB recognizes programs and activities that substantially contribute the environmental improvements, clean-up, beautification and site restoration in the State of Michigan. The award was presented Oct. 17 in Frankenmuth, Mich. Paula Cathcart, IHM, participated in a panel discussion as part of the Ann Arbor District Library's National Library Week Director's Program in April. The discussion focused on "Sustainability and Religion: Natural Partners or Uneasy Acquaintances" and is available to view as an on-demand video.
