Former IHMs, IHMs plan spring reunion
The weekend of April 17-18, the IHM Sisters invite all who have made the IHM journey - vowed sisters, associates and former members - to a reunion at the IHM Motherhouse.
The reunion events begin on Saturday, April 17, at 8:30 a.m. in the Motherhouse foyer, where registrants will pick up their program packets. The program starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Breakout session topics include spirituality for the later years, musings on the role of women in the church and IHM congregational updates. Tours of the Motherhouse will be available. River House, the newly renovated center for spirituality on campus, and St. Joseph Art Studio will be open for visitors, and there will be plenty of time for visiting classmates and friends in the Motherhouse and Health Care Center.
Saturday's program will close with prayer in the Chapel at 4:30 p.m., followed by supper. All are welcome to join the community for Mass on Sunday at 10 a.m., followed by brunch. Please register by March 24.
Registration packets have been mailed. If you did not receive one, contact Ann Fielder at 734-240-9700 or afielder@ihmsisters.org. Please check with any of your classmates with whom you are in touch to be sure they received information, and if not, share yours or ask them to contact Ann.

Tickets: $10 (seniors and students $7)
John Tyner will direct the performance on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2:30 p.m. The Monroe County Community College Agora Chorale will join the Monroe County community singers for the performance. The concert will also utilize professional soloists and an orchestra.

IHM Motherhouse Tours
We offer tours of the renovated Motherhouse by appointment. The tour program is facilitated by the River Raisin Institute, a nonprofit organization founded by the sisters in 2003 to run educational programming on sustainability. The focus of the tour is sustainability and the "green design" features of the renovated Motherhouse.
The two-hour tour program starts with a video presentation called "The Blue Nuns Go Green," which gives an overview of why the sisters believe sustainability is a moral mandate for the 21st century and the sustainable renovation of their Motherhouse. The video is followed by a guided tour of the Motherhouse and its sustainable design features, including the geothermal heating and cooling system, the gray water recycling system, and other energy efficient and environmentally friendly features of the renovation.
The tour fee is $12 per person and $5 per student.
