Monroe church choirs to present concert at IHM Chapel

The IHM Sisters' Chapel Concert Series welcomes the new year with the Monroe County Festival of Choirs on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m.

Choirs from around Monroe County will gather in the IHM Motherhouse Chapel to perform as a single choir making joyful music celebrating the end of the Christmas season.

The festival has been held for the last several years at the IHM Motherhouse with great success. A free-will offering is requested.

The next concert in the series will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. when Trio Abelia, an ensemble comprised of Denise Root Pierce on horn, keyboardist David Palmer and Geralyn Giovannette on oboe, performs.
