Spiritual Development The IHM Community is committed to fostering spiritual development through the various ministries in which we are engaged. Some ministries that focus on spiritual development in which our members are involved are spiritual direction, counseling, pastoral ministry in parishes, hospital and prison chaplaincy and campus ministry. These ministries provide opportunities and experiences for growth in prayer, the internalization of one's faith, vision, theological reflection, social analysis and the witness of presence. Spiritual development enables people to respond to the realities of our time, thus extending the Reign of God, building a culture of peace in the world, and reverencing the web of relationships with all of creation.
Sister Rose Mary is also one of the supervisors for the Internship Program at Manresa. She meets with each intern six times a year and with the other supervisors three times a year for input and discussion. During the summer months Manresa offers retreats, and Sister Rose Mary directs one of them, as well.
She also offers programs for different parishes. Pictured at right are Sister Rose Mary Ala and Sister Rita Cocquyt, S.C., putting together material for one of the retreats.
