Serving on Boards

Charitable organizations contribute substantially to our society. They educate our children, care for the sick, preserve our literature, art and music for us and future generations, house the homeless, protect the environment and much more. The fiduciaries of those charitable organizations are responsible for managing and preserving the charitable assets that benefit all of us.

Marygrove Housing BoardIHM Sisters and Associates serve on boards of non-profit organizations as a service and ministry to the broader community. Organizations whose mission and goals extend the vision of the IHM community are places where an IHM Sister or Associate may choose to be a board volunteer.

For the IHM sponsored institutions, those for which the IHM Congregation has canonical responsibility, being on the board is a way of keeping the connection between the community and the school while also assuming the fiduciary responsibility for the organization.
