The Clubhouse Conundrum (to order click here)
The Clubhouse Conundrum, a 32-page, four-color, hardbound book tells the story of how two children resolved a debate about how to convert an old tree fort into a clubhouse. Monica and Gabe want a clubhouse but disagree about whether to tear down the old fort and start over or to renovate what's already there. When Monica's Aunt Sarah, a nun, hears their perspectives, she offers to take them on a tour of her Motherhouse and show them how she and her 480 sisters resolved a similar problem. During an amazing tour through the sisters' earth-friendly home, Monica and Gabe learn about the sacredness of all creation and many ways to take care of all of God's community of life by leaving a small footprint on Earth. And they find an answer to their problem that pleases the whole family - including the birds and frogs and animals and trees and flowers. The book, which weaves together the storyline and the theme of the spirituality of sustainability, also gives children a look at nuns in the post modern world. A Time to Sow (to order click here) Our quarterly bulletin on the spirituality of sustainability features writer Mary McCann, former IHM president. Perfect for theology classes, religious education groups and individual reflection. E-mailed to subscribers each quarter.
